Lindemans Coonawarra Pyrus is a classic Bordeaux style blend sourced from the centre of Coonawarra's Terra Rossa strip, including the century old nursery vineyard, the oldest planting in the Coonawarra. It utilises a backbone of old vine Coonawarra Cabernet, fleshed out by Merlot and Cabernet Franc to create a particularly rich, and supple wine of great complexity. This elegant blend can be enjoyed young or left to improve in the bottle for many years to come.

Dense purple-crimson; this completes a very impressive vintage Trio, with luscious folds of black, purple and red fruits, ranging from cassis to plum, a chorus of almost sweet tannins and quality oak rounding out the finish.

Incredibly bright and fragrant with gorgeous cassis, brooding dark berry fruit, lifted mint and heady, woody spice aromas. Sweet and plush on the palate, with skilled, very subtle use of oak emphasising the beautiful fruit purity, and all framed with harmonious, silky soft tannins. A beautiful wine.

Nose of brioche and strawberries and dark forest fruits. Nice, juicy mid-palate with fresh balancing acidity. Nice vanilla on the finish.
Highly Rated Huon Hooke
Deep, dark red/purple colour; nutty oak-tinged berry aromas are clean and fresh and fairly undeveloped. It's full-bodied and firm, with a strong oaky overtone; indeed the oak is a tad domineering. It definitely needs more time. The finish and aftertaste are very firm indeed, with a trace of bitterness.
