Semi translucent dark red colour with black tinged edges and a bright crimson hue. Very fragrant aromatics of dark cherries and ripe dark plum tinged with anise meld into toasty vanillin cedar, a subtle earthy meatiness and spice. Rich and powerful with light to medium body weight the palate is awash with ripe dark cherry and plum flavours infused with anise that cascade through the mouth over subtlety toasted oak and some earthy meatiness finishing spicy. Outstanding length and concentration. Finely grained tannins have an underlying sturdiness to them. Very long and lingering conclusion of spicy dark cherries, dark plum, anise, toasty cedar, dried meats and a touch of earth.

94 Points - Bob Campbell, New Zealand Master of Wine
"Attractive and aromatic pinot noir with dark cherry, dark berry, dark-fleshed plum, spice and smoky oak flavours. A smooth-textured red with good palate weight and a lingering finish. Enjoyable now, better later. Drink 2017 to 2022".
